This family moved to Australia in October 2006 from Whitley Bay, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, U.K., settling into Harrington Waters Private Estate in December 2006. They had rented in the Port Kennedy area for a short time after researching the entire Rockingham district through the internet.
After settling into the area, the family looked at various options and having looked at other estates, decided to purchase a house and land package in Harrington Waters. They were attracted to the estate because of the picturesque lake and parklands, the proximity of transport from the soon-to-be completed Warnbro Rail Station, a Primary School, shopping centres and community facilities/activities.
Employment was not hard to obtain for Andy, an Electrician, who was snapped up by a local employer. Qualified tradespeople are very much in demand! Ann, a Reflexologist and Bone Therapist by profession, is expecting their third child in mid to late November 2007.
At the moment, Ann concentrates her energies on home duties and raising their two daughters Jessica (4) and Lauren (2). When the third child arrives, there is a school close at hand and the potential exists for Ann to combine family activities with her professional expertise.
The family goes for walks around the lake and love feeding the ducks. They are impressed with the abundant local activities, closeness of facilities and the atmosphere of the estate. There is always some sort of community activity going on.
In short, the family does not regret its move to Australian and can recognise the potential to raise a young family in an extremely happy and caring environment.
