Locals Flock to Fourth Annual Carols by the Lake
The fourth annual “Carols by the Lake" was held at Harrington Waters Private Estate on Sunday 9th December 2007. The event which is sponsored by estate developers Rockingham Park, is proving to be a popular social occasion for the local residents, who can leave their cars at home, walk to the carols and enjoy an hour and half listening to popular hymns and carols.

The event was organised by Rockingham Baptist Church and the Waikiki Residents' Association Inc. The perfect weather and landscaped parklands around the Harrington Waters Lake ensured the 300 guests had a relaxing and enjoyable time with many already looking forward to “Carols by the Lake 2008”.

Choirs from Waikiki Primary School and Maranatha Junior School provided lovely entertainment. As per always the Rockingham Baptist band and choir rose to the occasion and provided wonderful vocals and music. Surprise guest performer, Ellen Brooks, a contestant at the recent Waikiki Residents’ Association Talent Quest, also wowed the large crowd.
Waikiki Residents’ Association Chair, Rob Dedman, and Pastor Steve Galambosi from the Rockingham Baptist Church thanked Harrington Waters Private Estate and its developers Rockingham Park for the continual support and sponsorship of ‘Carols by the Lake’ and other local community events.
