Harrington Waters

Harrington Waters

200 people braved an unseasonably cold and blustery night on Sunday 11th December to celebrate Christmas 2005 by joining in the carol singing around the Harrington Waters Lake. At one point it was so overcast we thought of putting up cancellation notices. Persistence paid off in the end and we managed to stage a condensed program.

This was the second carols event and feedback from spectators was so positive, it is planned to hold one every Christmas. Thanks are extended to Pastors Steve Galambosi and Dan Hynes for their work behind the scenes and to Rockingham Baptist Church, which provided musical accompaniment and singers on the evening.

Other noteworthy contributors were the children from Rob Dedman’s Waikiki Primary School, who sung several delightful carols. In his capacity as Chair of the Waikiki Residents’ Association, Rob Dedman also gave an update on the association’s activities.
